Securing Our Agrifood Systems

We are working with partners in Australia and the region towards agrifood systems that are environmentally and economically sustainable, resilient, nutritious and equitable.

With increasing and complex challenges like climate change, population growth, changing diets, resource depletion, and supply chain disruptions such as during COVID-19, a more interconnected approach is needed to ensure our food systems are sustainable and resilient.

Our research collaborations take an interconnected approach that allows us to address complex challenges impacting our food supply, health and environment.

Our expertise includes:

  • Domain expertise including production, environmental, social, economic, market and traceability, biosecurity, and land management.
  • Systems and innovation expertise and experience, including innovation policy analysis, innovation brokering, systems theory, and approaches.
  • Knowledge brokering, including outreach and extension, cross-cultural communications, research translation, intellectual property sharing, and capacity building.
  • Management of complex programs, including project and portfolio management, measurement, evaluation and learning.
