About the placement
This internship is with Converte and is facilitated by the CSIRO’s Generation STEM Links program.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a company on a mission to build food chain health from the soil-up.
In this hands-on role, you will be involved in a variety of tasks that offer broad exposure to fieldwork and lab-based activities. You’ll participate in research trials, conducting product testing, support quality assurance processes, and have the chance to engage in lab work, depending on your interests. This placement offers a dynamic learning environment where no two days are the same.
Work arrangements
- Start date: December/Jan
- Working arrangement: Part time for 200 hours on a 3 month fixed term contract (negotiable), with the possibility for further employment for the right candidate
- Remuneration: $25/hour plus super on a temporary contract with Converte
- Location: Griffith, NSW
Desired capabilities
- Studying a degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Horticulture or other related discipline.
- Strong communication skills to report on research outcomes effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in data collection and reporting.
- An interest in fieldwork and product testing.
Requirements
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Must be in your penultimate or final year of an undergraduate or TAFE qualification.
- A Valid Driver’s Licence
