About the placement
This internship is with Vecor Technologies and is facilitated by the CSIRO’s Generation STEM Links program. As an intern at Vecor Technologies you will have the opportunity to work with leading material science researchers and scientists at Vecor’s UNSW Laboratory.
The position entails supporting research scientists and management at Vecor Technologies by conducting both academic and industrial research, as well as compiling and summarising research data. Additionally, you will be coordinating and preparing materials for PowerPoint presentations, which will involve translating scientific concepts for non-scientific audiences. You will be attending meetings with UNSW researchers, Vecor management, external stakeholders, and industrial partners and assist with coordinating the work between UNSW researchers and the Vecor team, ensuring effective communication throughout the research and development processes.
This position is well suited to a candidate with strong communication skills and an interest in both research and commercialisation.
Work Arrangements
- Start date: Late October- November 2024
- Working arrangement: Part time for 200 hours on a fixed term contract, with the possibility for further employment for the right candidate
- Remuneration: $25/hour plus super on a temporary contract with Vecor Technologies
- Location: UNSW Kensington

- Ability to understand and communicate scientific concepts and data clearly.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Data oriented
Essential Requirements
- Must be studying a STEM based degree.
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Must be in your penultimate or final year of an undergraduate qualification.
