At CSIRO we seek to normalise flexible ways of working. Many of us are finding modes of work that are different to what we may have experienced in the past and we continue to explore modes that work for individuals and CSIRO.
There are no caps on the number of days you can request to work from home and CSIRO will consider any request based on its merits and business requirements.
A working from home package provides the resources and support to seamlessly work between your home and a CSIRO site. The package can include a laptop, monitor, headset, mouse and keyboard and a desk and chair if required.
Our five flexible work modes
- Hybrid: structure your workday/week to work in a variety of locations.
- Customised: tailor what time of the day you work to help fit in with your preferences and personal commitments.
- Partnership: if you are seeking to move to part-time work and you need help balancing a full-time role or returning from a long period of absence.
- Extra leave: if you need a longer break you can top up your existing leave provisions.
- Change of pace: ease into retirement with a phased arrangement over an agreed time.
