The ON Innovation Program empowers Australia's brilliant researchers with the skills, networks and pathways to translate their big ideas into real-world impact. Since 2015, we have delivered training and support to more than 5000 people from over 50 Australian research organisations and universities, helping them realise the pathways to growth beyond academia.

Our SME Connect team help Australian start-ups, small and medium businesses uncover what’s possible through research and development; taking an idea from concept through to execution to drive business growth. Our next generation programs help support and uplift talented tertiary students and graduates in STEM by providing on the job experience.
Generation STEM Links provides high‑quality internships to help tertiary students gain workplace skills and transition into STEM jobs after graduation. It also aims to build a pool of STEM-capable professionals for the future of NSW STEM industries through its partnerships.
Next Generation Graduates Program provides in-depth training and facilitates collaboration among students, researchers, and industry professionals. By doing so, the program aims to build a competitive and capable workforce that will drive the growth of the Australian tech sector.
Industry PhD Scholarship Program brings together an industry partner, a university, and CSIRO, to co-develop a four-year industry-focused PhD project. PhD students receive a scholarship and unique learning opportunities focused on impact-driven research and real-world experience.
