Memorandum of understanding

In 2023 we signed a memorandum of understanding with USGS. The MoU signifies our commitment to work together to uplift critical minerals capability.

Through science and innovation, USGS and CSIRO will work together to support the global energy transition by exploring joint research opportunities to unlock the potential of critical minerals - the minerals required to shape the energy transformation and the associated technologies.

Through the MoU we will explore ways to build our talent base and enable impactful science collaborations that will deliver improved methods and technologies in the detection, identification, and sustainable unlocking of critical mineral resource.
