Have you exhausted your Netflix queue? Are you finally over all the 90s sitcoms you have on in the background while you scroll through social media? Well, today's your lucky day! We've got a video interview that will give you some big (data) ideas. Especially surrounding our current situation.

We were lucky enough to catch up with Dr Denis Bauer. Dr Bauer is the Group Leader at our Australian e-Health Research Centre. Her Transformational Bioinformatics team uses AI and machine learning to understand huge amounts of data. Her work mainly focuses on the human genome and identifying areas that cause disease.

This work has translated to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. You might know it best as the virus causing the current COVID-19 pandemic.

We video called her (in true isolation fashion) and asked her a few questions. We spoke about her latest research, her work in the COVID-19 space, and how she got to where she is.
