About the placement
This internship is with United Beverage Co-Packers and is facilitated by the CSIRO's Generation STEM Links program.
This opportunity is a great opportunity to jump into the word of all things Beverages. You'll gain hands-on experience in product development from start to finish, mixing recipes and learning formulation techniques. The team currently releases a new beverage every few months, experimenting and creating new flavours will be a core part of your role. You'll get to see your products roll down the production line and understand the end-to-end manufacturing process. You'll also get exposure to regulatory documentation assisting in compliance standards.
Work arrangements
- Start date: Flexible
- Working arrangement: Part time on a fixed term contract, with the possibility for further employment for the right candidate. Days will be fixed but flexible according to university schedules.
- Remuneration: $25/hour plus super with regular performance and salary reviews.
- Location: Unanderra, NSW (near Wollongong)
Desired capabilities
- Currently studying an undergraduate degree in food science, nutrition/ dietetics or other related disciplines
- A strong Interest in Product development
- A Strong Learner: You should be eager to learn, as there is no strict rulebook for beverage development.
- Detail-Oriented: Good administrative skills are important for documentation and compliance.
- A Good Listener: Ability to take feedback and apply it effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Requirements
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Must be in your final year of an undergraduate or TAFE qualification.
