Please note: There are limited positions available and unfortunately CSIRO cannot guarantee participation for all students wishing to be involved. Preference will be given to students in regional and remote locations. Opportunities advertised are for the Defence Industry Stream and CSIRO STEM professionals.

CSIRO is committed to your privacy and will handle any personal information you provide to us in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and CSIRO’s privacy policy.

CSIRO is collecting personal information of participants including name, contact details and school and employment details for the purposes of the Virtual Work Experience Program and Virtual Work Experience Program – Defence Industry Stream.

CSIRO is also collecting sensitive information including but not limited to: gender, racial or ethnic origin for the purpose described above.

CSIRO will disclose this information to third parties including the Department of Defence for students in the Defence Industry Stream . This program uses third party service providers including CISCO Webex and Success Factors (SAP Jam). These service providers use overseas servers in the United States and other countries. This means participant personal information may be transferred to servers located outside of Australia.
