Gather your team: Grab your family, classmates, or fellow science enthusiasts and set up a TV screen or monitor to watch the quiz broadcast on YouTube. The link and QR code will be emailed to all registered participants on Monday morning. You can then play along at any time from 9.30am (AEST) on Monday 12 August.
Join the Kahoot! game: A QR code will be displayed on the screen at the start of the recording. Capture this code with the camera on all of your players’ devices (phone or tablet). The QR code will take you to a web browser to play the game in Kahoot!
No login needed: You don’t need a login for Kahoot! to play. Simply scan the QR code and enter your name or a fun science-themed nickname.
Let’s play: Click “Play” and choose “Challenge”. Then, you and your team can answer the questions on your own devices along with the YouTube broadcast. Remember to hit “Next” on your Kahoot! screen to move on to the next question.
You can watch the YouTube broadcast and access Kahoot! at any time from release at 9.30am AEST on Monday 12 August 2024. So, you can play at a time that suits you.
