What is CyberTaipan?

CyberTaipan Participants 2022, John Curtain College of the Arts

CyberTaipan is an engaging and challenging competition that tests participants' skills in cyber security, providing them with a unique opportunity to learn and develop new abilities. Last year, over 700 students from across Australia participated in our third iteration of the competition.

By taking part in CyberTaipan, your students will have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and skills, network with industry professionals, and compete for fantastic prizes.

Upcoming Professional Learning Sessions

An Educators Guide to Cybersecurity Essentials - 22 March

This session will highlight programs offered by Digital Careers that support a student's education and understanding of cybersecurity. Unpack what cyber-security threats are, explain countermeasures, and provide links with Australian curriculum requirements. Educators will be given the language and knowledge needed to engage in meaningful conversations with students.

Bringing Machine Learning and AI into the classroom - 15 March

Working with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a crucial skill of the future for many of today’s students. This session will give educators a crash course introduction to these important concepts, and provide resources, guides, and curriculum-linked ideas on how to bring them into the classroom.
