Situational AwarenessTranscript
Australian industry is transitioning to Industry 4.0 but we want it to happen faster and to help Australia maintain its competitiveness in relation to manufacturing elsewhere in the world.
[Animation image changes to show various coloured intersecting lines which move through a series of rollers and into black floor mounts]
Our technologies can help by reaching deep into a factory to analyse its data streams and combine them with knowledge of operations.
[Animation image changes to show a box placed on the pink block and the text scrolls through in the box, Why, Where, How]
CSIRO’s Data61 can advise on why, where and how to capture data.
[Animation image shows the pink block flipping over and then a model pie graph, line graph and bar graph appearing on top of the pink block]
We can build analytics tools to identify and visualise trends or help you build your own.
[Animation image changes to show a model blue shape on top of the pink block and the image shows small green blocks moving around the blue shape]
We use artificial intelligence to create diagnostic tools to provide a comprehensive view of what can, should, and should not be happening in your operation now and in the near future.
[Animation image changes to show the pink block flipping over and then a new model of a factory operation appears on the pink block and then the image shows the pink block flipping again]
We create real time optimisations to advise if potential corrections to processes to minimise disruption
[Animation image shows coloured lines appearing from the pink block and moving up the screen and labels appear next to the lines “Alert”]
and to keep things operating at peak efficiency.
[Animation image shows the lines continuing up the screen until they intersect with black mounts on another pink block]
This is human situational awareness on an industrial scale.
[Animation image changes to show a number one and two appearing on top of the pink block and then the image shows the block flipping and then a light bulb appearing on the top of the block]
Let’s make computers and machines do the dull work while we solve problems and do the fun stuff like invent, improve and innovate.
[Animation image changes to show a crane next to a box moving along a conveyer belt and then the image shows two cameras appearing either side of the conveyer belt aimed towards the box]
While you could design an Industry 4.0 enabled operation from the ground up these tools can be developed for any set of simultaneous sensor inputs. Such systems can be developed and scaled to however many sensors and data streams you want to throw at it.
[Image changes to show a yellow screen and text appears: At CSIRO we understand operations, We understand situational awareness and the variety of manufacturing data streams, We understand how to build models that describe and forecast your operations and future needs so that we can make Industry 4.0 a reality, together]
At CSIRO we understand operations. We understand situational awareness and the variety and complexity of data streams. We understand how to build models that describe and forecast your operations and future needs so that we can make Industry 4.0 a reality together.
[Music plays and image changes to show a green honeycomb pattern on a black screen with the Data61 and the CSIRO logo and text appears: Creating our Data Driven Future, www.data61.com.au]
