Dr Brian Griffiths: Scientists put in applications to use Investigator and these are assessed by the Marine National Facility Scientific Steering Committee and proposals for the first year or so are actually being assessed as we speak.

There have been proposals for the use of Investigator from all marine science disciplines around Australia and many of these have international partners and collaborators to ensure that the highest quality science is being done on the vessel.
